Match Schedule for FIFA World Cup 2022

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022T opening ceremony and Qatar vs. Ecuador match number one have been moved to November 20th at 19:00 (Doha Time) at Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor rather than November 21st as previously scheduled.

The group phase will be played from 20 November to 2 December. The knockout phase will begin with the Round of 16 from 3-6 December.

The quarter-finals will be played on 9 and 10 December, with the semi-finals on 13 and 14 December. The play-off for third place will unfold on 17 December, one day before the final.

Covid guidelines for FIFA World Cup 2022

  • The Qatar COVID-19 Travel & Return Policy, which was updated on August 31, 2022, by the Ministry of Public Health, is advised reading for spectators at this year’s FIFA World Cup.
  • Visitors entering Qatar for the FIFA World Cup must go through the following COVID-19 testing procedures regardless of their vaccination status.

Hayya card for FIFA World Cup 2022

The FIFA Fan Festival will run concurrently with the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and will be open every day of the tournament, beginning on June 20, 2022. From November to December 18, 2022.

The event will take place in Al Bidda Park, which is located between the Westbay area and the Souq Waqif.
The venue will be open from two hours before the first match kicks off on each matchday until one hour after the last match of the day. The FIFA Fan Festival is free of charge and open to everyone.

Facilities to arrive and leave FIFA fan festival:

Metro Services:

The Red and Green Lines of the Doha Metro directly serve Al Bidda Park.

• Getting to the location: Red Line’s Corniche station is the closest metro stop, but Red and Green Lines’ Al Bidda station is also an option for visitors.

• Directions for leaving the venue: fans will be sent either north to the Red Line’s West Bay-Qatar Energy metro station or south to the Al Bidda metro station (Red and Green Lines). The FIFA Fan Festival site cannot be left from the Corniche station.

Bus services:

• The West Bay and Souq Waqif areas will be connected by the Corniche shuttle service. Fans will be transported to the FIFA Fan Festival from their lodging in and around these areas via the B and C ring roads shuttle services.

•Bus service will run from 8:00 until 2:00.

Tournament bus services:

From the FIFA Fan Festival stadium express bus hub, take a direct bus to the stadium.

Bus operations will begin four hours before kickoff and end 90 minutes after the final whistle.

Taxis and ride-sharing:

• The drop-off and pick-up points for taxis and ride-sharing services are located at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.
